I don't know if you know this, but I am terrified of birds. I've decided to follow your blog just to get a clear idea of how much I have to fear out here in EM.
BTW- Hills and Maddie let a sparrow INTO our house the other morning as they were leaving for the bus. They thought it was hilarious. Luckily for me, Lee closed the bedroom doors and isolated the sparrow so he could chase it out. I would have been frozen in fear.
There are sometimes birds of prey who stalk our chickens. We've had a falcon and a hawk. I'll call you next time so you can photograph and name our preditors. You are also welcome to check out the chickens. They are friendly hens and don't count as real birds :)
Me and my kids are having fun attracting, photographing and identifying the birds we attract to our backyard and also the ones we see when we travel. We recently moved to Round Rock Texas and are enjoying the new variety of birds we've never seen before.
This bird doesn't look so mean to me...I recently discovered that there is a Kestrel Street not too far from our house.
